District man indicted on murder charge in March fatal beating of toddler

A District man has been indicted for first-degree felony murder in the March beating death of his former girlfriend’s 20-month-old son, authorities said Friday.

Jonathan Fullard, 29, was indicted in the March 4 beating of Keyontae Osbia Moore while Fullard was babysitting the infant.

According to authorities, Fullard called his then-girlfriend at work at about 3 a.m. to say her son had stopped breathing. The toddler was rushed to a local hospital and died a day later from blunt force trauma.

The medical examiner’s report said the child had bruises on his face, head, chest, back and left leg, three rib fractures, signs of sexual abuse and other injuries, according to court documents.

Fullard has been held in D.C. jail since his arrest. His next hearing is scheduled for July 13 in D.C. Superior Court before Judge William Jackson.
