A former Fauquier County assistant principal admitted in court that he received child pornography online, according to federal prosecutors in Virginia.
Joshua Myers, 29, of Warrenton, faces a minimum of five years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 2.
According to court papers, Myers came to the attention of authorities during an undercover investigation of people who were viewing and trading child pornography online.
In an online chat with an undercover officer, according to court papers, Myers shared a password to folders on his computer that contained child pornography. Videos in the shared file included one that appeared to show a man and woman sexually abusing a toddler, authorities said.
Myers, who started working in Fauquier County public schools in 2004, most recently worked at Greenville Elementary School in Nokesville.
