Fairfax man, 25, dead in Thursday evening crash

A Fairfax man has been charged with driving under the influence after a Thursday night crash that killed the passenger, police said.

According to the Prince William County Police, Jeffrey Scott Davis Jr., 23, was driving a 2003 Chevy S-10 on Yorkshire Lane in Manassas at about 10:32 p.m. when he crossed into a ditch and rolled over.

The front-seat passenger, Roland Donald Reynolds Jr., 25, of Manassas, was not wearing a seat belt, according to police, and was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say Davis was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was held without bond ahead of a Jan. 3 court date.
