D.C. police have identified the victim of a fatal traffic crash Friday as a 39-year-old resident of Southeast Washington.

William C. Gibson was driving a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder in the 2900 block of Naylor Road SE about 11:50 p.m. when the Pathfinder struck a parked vehicle and caught fire, police said.
