Fatal stabbing reported in area of Bowie State University

A woman was fatally stabbed Thursday night, apparently on the edge of the Bowie State University campus, Prince George’s County authorities said.

County police officers responded to a report of a cutting in the 14000 block of Jericho Park Road and found the victim about 8 p.m., officials said. The woman, who was not immediately identified, was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead, authorities said.

The location where the victim was found is near the south entrance of the campus and the Center for Business and Graduate Studies building.

No further information was immediately released.
