Fraud charges for Maryland man after traffic stop

A Bowie man was arrested in Takoma Park and charged with a number of alleged crimes in North Carolina after his car was stopped for not obeying a Do Not Enter sign, police said.

The traffic stop took place on Sunday at around 4:03 a.m., according to police.

The officer learned that the driver, Abdoul W. Traore, 27, had outstanding warrants in North Carolina for 12 counts of fraud and identity theft, police said, as well as illegal use of credit cards.
