Funeral for fallen Alexandria paramedic

Funeral arrangements have been made for Joshua A. Weissman, the Alexandria paramedic who was killed as he responded to a car fire last week.

Weissman fell the night of Feb. 8 from a dark roadway on Interstate 395 near Glebe Road. He suffered a severe head injury.

There will be a visitation Wednesday from 5 p.m. until midnight at the Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 West Braddock Road, Alexandria. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Beth El Hebrew Congregation, 3830 Seminary Road, Alexandria.

There is limited seating, and guests are asked to sign up here if they plan to attend.
