LAUREL, Md. — Funeral services are planned for a Maryland native and recent law school graduate who was found slain in Georgia.
Services for 27-year-old Lauren Giddings are planned for Saturday evening at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church in Laurel.
Giddings, a recent graduate of Mercer University law school in Macon, Ga., was last heard from on the evening of June 25. Five days later, police discovered her torso wrapped in plastic in a garbage bin beside her apartment building.
A classmate of hers, Stephen Mark McDaniel, has been charged with killing her.
