Graffiti at Herbert Hoover Middle School investigated as hate crime

Graffiti scrawled at Herbert Hoover Middle School in Potomac this week is being investigated as a hate crime, Montgomery County police said.

The vandalism, which occurred on walls, doors, windows and furniture, depicts sexual images, genitalia and what police described at “hate language.” Police said the vandals struck some time between 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 9:45 a.m. on Thursday.
