Gunman on motorcycle shot a man in Southeast D.C., police say

D.C. police are looking for a suspect in an overnight shooting and motorcycle crash.

The shooting happened around 12:50 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of 3rd Street and Livingston Road SE.

Police said that a gunman riding a motorcycle in the area shot a man in the street. The gunman then allegedly crashed the motorcycle and fled the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police did not have details about the victim’s identity or condition.

Police have not said whether they know of a motive in the shooting.
