Help sought finding Md. woman’s killer

Frederick police are handing out fliers and putting up two electric signs asking the public for information that could lead to the killer of the manager of a fast-food restaurant last week.

Officers handed the fliers, in both English and Spanish, on Tuesday near the Burger King restaurant where 32-year-old Jacinta “Patty” Ayala’s body was found Friday morning by an employee. She had been shot.

Starting Thursday, two temporary electric signs, in the area of East Patrick Street and Monocacy Boulevard, will ask people to call the crime tip line with any information about the crime. The signs will be in place through the weekend.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Frederick Police Department at 301-600-TIPS (8477).
