Husband and wife charged in burglaries

A Howard County husband-and-wife team was arrested in a string of four burglaries, and police are investigating to see if they are responsible for others.

Edward James Johnson , 28, and Robin Renee Johnson, 27, were charged in connection with several break-ins that took place between Feb. 24 and March 10 in the western part of the county.

He was arrested friday and she was arrested Saturday, police said.

Police found some of the property they had stolen, which led them to link the Johnsons, who live in Sykesville, to the burglaries in West Friendship, Marriotsville and Cooksville.

Investigators say there have been a number of burglaries in those areas in recent months.
