Woman dies after Thursday crash

A 38-year-old Ashburn woman has died of injuries sustained in a Thursday crash in the Fairfax area that also killed a 54-year-old man, police said.

Lora Melissa Myers died Saturday, Fairfax County police said.

About 6 p.m. Thursday, Myers was driving west on Braddock Road when her 2011 Toyota Highlander was struck by a 2007 Nissan Murano that had crossed the median into oncoming traffic. The driver of the Nissan, Christopher Cobb, died at the scene.

A third man, the 57-year-old driver of a Pontiac Vibe that struck the Toyota after the initial collision, also was injured.

Police said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, and said all the drivers were wearing seatbelts.
