A Loudoun County man was injured in an apparent home invasion Saturday morning, authorities said.

A 21-year-old man, whose name was not released, heard a knock on the front door of his home on Hiddengrove Court in Ashburn at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday and believed that one of his friends had stopped by, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. When he opened the door, he was hit with a blunt object and two men stormed inside.

Police said the two men burglarized the home and fled. The man was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital, where he was treated and released later Saturday.
