Man killed in 14th Street hit and run identified

Updated at 4 p.m.

District police have identified the victim of the Thursday hit-and-run as Miguel Angel Drullard Jr., 22, of Northwest in the District. Police released no additional new details about the incident.

District Police said they are searching for a red or burgundy Jeep Liberty with extensive front-end damage in connection with the fatal accident Thursday afternoon on in the 4400 block of14th Street NW.

Witnesses told police a man was fighting with other men in the block and was chased into the street. Police think the Jeep deliberately ran over the man as he tried to escape the attackers, officials said Thursday night.

The department homicide unit is investigating the incident.. . A caller told police the victim was struck in the middle of 14th Street, police said.
