Man charged in Forestville shooting

Police have charged a 22-year-old Capitol Heights man in connection with a fatal shooting early Monday morning on Walters Lane in Forestville, authorities said.

Prince George’s County police said they have obtained a warrant charging Tairon Dominique Dingle with first-degree murder and related counts in the slaying of 21 year-old Brandon Rashad Catlett. Catlett, of Forestville, was fatally shot about 3 a.m. Monday in the 3300 block of Walters Lane, authorities said.

Police refused to say what, if any, probable cause they had to charge Dingle, and they declined to detail a motive or any relationship between Dingle and Catlett.
