A 22-year-old man was arrested in the Richmond area Friday for allegedly robbing a BB&T bank in Fairfax Station on Nov. 21, Fairfax County police said.

Jeffrey B. Koch, 22, of Springfield, walked into the branch in the 8900 block of Village Shops Drive, handed the teller a note and implied he had a weapon, police said. The teller handed over an undisclosed sum of cash and Koch fled the scene, police said.

A tip led police in Colonial Heights, which is about 25 miles south of Richmond, to Koch, police said. He was apprehended and is expected to be extradited back to Fairfax County to stand trial, police said.
