Man dies after Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE — Authorities say a man in his 60s has died after being shot in the head during a robbery attempt in northwest Baltimore.

Police say the man, Edmond Dabney, was walking with a woman about 4 a.m. Sunday at Pimlico Road and Virginia Avenue when they were approached by a man who asked if they had any money.

Authorities say an argument ensued and the assailant pulled out a handgun and fired a shot in the air. Police say the suspect then shot Dabney in the head and fled on foot.

Dabney was taken to Sinai Hosptial, where he died a short time later.

Police are investigating.
