Man fatally shot and dropped off at fire station

Prince George’s County police identified a man fatally shot Friday morning as Charles R. Thompson, 27, of the 200 block of Whitehaven Circle in Fort Washington

A man was fatally wounded and then dropped off a Capitol Heights fire station early Friday morning, Prince George’s County police said.

Police were called to the Ritchie Volunteer station in the 1400 block of Ritchie Marlboro Road and found a shooting victim who taken there about 12:20 a.m., officials said. The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators are still trying to determine where the victim was shot and have not identified the man, said Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a police spokesman.
