D.C. police investigating two Saturday homicides

Two men were killed in unrelated shootings early Saturday in the District, one in Northeast and one in Southeast, police said.

In the first shooting, an underage girl was seriously wounded when she and a man were shot in a car in the 4500 block of Benning Road NE, police said. The man died.

Police are still investigating the circumstances behind the shooting shortly before 4 a.m., but said there may have been an argument. They are looking for a suspect who was last seen wearing a red coat, blue pants and a red shirt.

Police also are investigating a shooting that left a man dead around around 8:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Ainger Place SE. No details were immediately available.
