Man fatally shot in Pr. George’s ID’d

Prince George's County Police have released the name of an Alexandria man who was shot and killed in Lewisdale on Saturday.

Police said officers responded to a report of a shooting around 12:30 am, March 31, and found Lester Amilcar Flores-Quintanilla, 19, lying in the 2000 block of Woodberry Street with gun shot wounds. Flores-Quintanilla was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not release a motive in the shooting. It occurred in a neighborhood that consists largely of single-family houses on tree-shaded sites one or two blocks from Riggs Road and the East-West Highway, and about a mile and a half west of where three people were shot about three hours earlier.

There was no immediate indication of any link between the incidents.
