One man was stabbed to death shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday in Southwest Washington, about three blocks west of Nationals Park, according to D.C. police.

Few details were available on Sunday. Police said it occurred about 12:50 a.m. in the 1200 block of Delaware Ave., between O and P streets Southeast, in the midst of a several apartment buildings.

A D.C. police spokesman said detectives made a quick arrest in the case. No further details were released pending notification of the victim’s relatives and formal charges against the suspect.

In an unrelated stabbing, D.C. police said that about 2 a.m. Sunday, two adult men were wounded in the back in the first block of Sheridan St., NW, and were expected to survive.
