Man found dead inside Riverdale home

A 40-year-old man was found shot to death Wednesday afternoon inside a house in the Riverdale area, Prince George’s County police said.

Officers were called to check on the well being of a man inside a home in the 6200 block of Kenilworth Avenue about 4 p.m. and discovered the body inside, said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a spokesman. The man suffered gunshot wounds and authorities pronounced him dead at the scene, Johnson said.

Police did not release the man’s name but are investigating the case as a homicide. Investigators had no information about the shooting or any potential suspects last Wednesday, Johnson said.
