D.C. man sentenced for arranging sexual contact with a minor

A D.C. man was sentenced Monday to 14 months in prison for arranging sexual contact with someone he believed to be a minor.

Over the course of several days in the the fall of 2011, 38-year-old Patrick Henderson engaged in online and telephone conversations with an undercover officer with the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, who Henderson believed had access to an underage boy from Virginia, authorities said.

Henderson and the officer arranged to meet for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts with the boy, according to officials.

Henderson was arrested on Nov. 30, 2011 when he arrived at the specified meeting place in the District. He pleaded guilty to the charge in October, 2012.

Henderson was sentenced to 14 months in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for 10 years, officials said.
