A man is in the hospital this morning following a police-involved shooting in Northwest Washington.

Around 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a domestic call at a home in the 6400 block of 13th Street NW. Authorities said that when officers arrived, a man at the home lunged at one of the officers with a knife.

The officer who allegedly was attacked then shot the man in the face, police said.
