Man killed in Owings motorcycle crash

Police in Calvert County have identified the man killed in a late-October motorcycle crash in Owings as David H. Pagan of Sunderland.

According to the Calvert County sheriff’s office, Pagan was found in the brush just off Boyds Turn Road near Three Brothers Way about 10:16 a.m. on Oct. 26. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined that Pagan, 57, was traveling north when he left the roadway and hit a utility pole. He was not found immediately, so authorities do not know when he crashed; it may have been as early as 7:15 p.m. Oct. 25.

Speed appears to be a cause of the crash, police said.
