Man injured in police-involved shooting in Prince George’s County

An man suffered non-life-threatening injuries during a police- involved shooting incident in Prince George’s County late Thursday, police said.

At 11:40 p.m., police responded to a citizen’s complaint of gunshots in the 5600 block of Kolb Street in Fairmount Heights.

“Some sort of confrontation between the suspect and officers” ensued, said Corporal Larry Johnson, a spokesman for the Prince George’s County Police department.

The department described the confrontation as a police-involved shooting, but did not give details or specify the nature of the suspect’s injuries.

No police officers were hurt, and no additional details were available, police said.

The investigation is continuing.
