Man is shot and then seeks help at the Patricia Harris Education Center in DC

An adult male was shot Monday morning and then went into the lobby of the Patricia R. Harris Education Center for help, causing the building to go on lockdown, D.C. police and fire officials said.

The man was concious and breathing, the officials said. The shooting did not occur inside the building, but poilice do not know yet where the shooting took place.

The center, located on Livingston Road SE, is now used as a vocational education facility run by the University of the District of Columbia.
