Man shoots brother in Capitol Heights: police

A man shot and critically wounded his brother in the Capitol Heights area of Prince George’s County Monday night, authorities said.

Police were called to the scene in the 900 block of Karen Boulevard for a reported shooting just before 9 p.m., said Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a Prince George’s County police spokesman. He said officers arrived to find both brothers — the victim and the apparent shooter — still there.

The wounded brother was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, and the suspect was taken into police custody, Copeland said. He said detectives are still working to determine what precipitated the “domestic dispute.”
