Man shot in D.C.’s lively H Street corridor

A man was shot and wounded late Saturday night in the H Street NE corridor, D.C. police said.

The shooting occurred about 11 p.m. in the 800 block of H Street and the victim was found in the 1000 block of H, police said.

They said he had apparently been hit in the leg.

Part of the street, which has become increasingly popular as a center of nightlife and entertainment, was shut down while police investigated.
