For the sixth time in three months, D.C. police have asked for help as they search for a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault.

The latest attack was Jan. 11 in the city’s Deanwood neighborhood. D.C. police said a female juvenile walking in the 5000 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave NE shortly before 4 p.m. was approached by a man who brandished a gun and forced her into an alley in the 5000 block of Hayes St NE, where he assaulted her.

According to a police description of the suspect, he is a black male standing 5’8” tall and weighing about 220 pounds with a stocky build.

He is also bald, with slanted eyes, a gap in his teeth and a gray beard. He was last seen wearing an all-gray sweatsuit, police said.

D.C. Police have released information about six sex assaults since November, including one case in which a suspect was arrested. Police have not said that the cases are connected.

Last month, a woman pulling out of a Chinatown parking garage was forced at gunpoint to drive out of the area and was assaulted. Police said the woman was pulling out of a parking garage in the 700 block of F St. NW around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 with her 15-month-old son in the back seat when an assailant jumped into her car.

He forced the woman to park in the 500 block of Webster St NW. The suspect is wanted for kidnapping and sexual assault, and police described the assailant as a male with a Southern accent and a mustache who was wearing dark clothing. Police released a sketch of that suspect.

A woman walking in the 4900 block of Blaine St NE in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood around 10 p.m. on Dec. 17 told police a man approched her with a knife and forced her into an alley and assaulted her. Police described that suspect as a male with a thin build around 40 years old last seen wearing blue jeans and a red hooded sweatshirt.

On Dec. 8, a woman walking in the 2300 block of Good Hope Road SE around 3 a.m. was approached by a man to pulled her into a wooded area and attempted to sexually assault her, police said. The suspect in that incident was described as a male between the ages of 32 and 37, about 5’9”, between 130-140 pounds and was last seen wearing gray and blue pants. The suspect fled in a gray SUV truck, police said.

A woman walking in the 100 block of Hamilton Street NW on Nov. 1 was approached by a man who pulled her into an alley and sexually assaulted her. Police released a sketch of that suspect, describing him as a man between the ages of 20 and 25 with a thin build who was last seen wearing dark colored panrs and a red and black ski jacket.

In the Washington Highlands neighborhood, a woman walking in the 3500 block of 6th St SE around 10:30 p.m. said a man with a gun pulled alongside her and ordered her to get in a car. Once inside, the suspect drove her to the 3900 block of 8th St SE and sexually assaulted her.

Police arrested Antonio Pitt, 19, of Southeast Washington on Jan. 3 and charged him with first-degree sexual abuse while armed in the Dec. 30 incident.
