Man stabbed in Anacostia

A man was stabbed and seriously wounded Friday night in the Anacostia neighborhood of Southeast Washington, D.C. police said.

The attack happened in the 1300 block of Good Hope Road about 7:40, said Officer Hugh Carew, a police spokesman. The victim was taken to a hospital with serious and potentially life threatening injuries, police said.

No further details were immediately available.
