Man stabbed in stomach in Alexandria; injuries not life-threatening

A man was stabbed in the stomach in Alexandria Thursday night, police reported.

The attack took place in the 3500 block of Wilson Avenue in the Lynhaven area of Alexandria. The victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital, where he is expected to recover from his injuries.

Police said they believe the victim knew his attacker. Officials have not released any information about the suspect.
