Man thought beaten to death fell from window, D.C. police say

D.C. Police say a man who they initially thought was beaten to death apparently fell from a third-story window of a rowhouse in Southeast Washington.

They body of 54-year-old Ibrahim Musa of Northeat was found about 3:15 p.m. on Aug. 18 in the 1900 block of Curtis Court, near Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast and the Anacostia Freeway. Police said he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Homicide detectives investigated and initially thought Musa had been assaulted “due to the multiple serious injuries,” according to a statement from police. But police now say that based on statements from witnesses and other evidence, it appears the victim fell from the window.

Police said the manner of death has been ruled undetermined, and the investigation continues.
