Md. police investigate fatal car crash in Prince George’s County

A man was killed in a car crash in early Wednesday morning after becoming trapped in his wrecked vehicle, Maryland State Police said.

According to police, the man lost control of his car about 6 a.m. while driving in the northbound lanes of Crain Highway (Route 301) at Oak Barrel Court in Brandywine.

The roadway was closed for about an hour as police investigated the scene and emergency crews rushed the victim to a local hospital.

The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police have not released information about what may have caused the crash, which only involved the one vehicle.
