Arrest in Sunday morning Glenarden killing

A Landover man wanted for murder in a Glenarden killing was arrested Thursday in Alexandria, police said.

Prince George’s County Police said Michael D. Briscoe, 24, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder and other offenses in the death of Shariel McCutchen, 26, of the District.

McCutchen was found shot dead in a home in the 8400 block of Hamlin Street in Glenarden early in the morning of Oct. 21. Authorities think Briscoe shot her after she fought his girlfriend inside an apartment.

Briscoe was awaiting extradition to Maryland on Thursday afternoon, police said.
