MS-13 gang member arrested in Maryland, wanted for Honduras slaying

An MS-13 gang member was arrested in Baltimore County on Monday in connection with a murder in Honduras, federal authorities announced.

Oscar Orlando Amador Centano, a 29-year-old Honduran national, was taken into custody at his home in Randallstown after illegally re-entering the U.S., Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said in a news release.

Centano is wanted for a 2010 homicide in Olancho, Honduras. He is accused of striking a man in the head with a machete and stealing his wallet.

Centano also had an open warrant for theft in Prince George’s County.

Officials said Centano had been deported in January 2010 for illegally entering the county. It is unknown when he returned to the U.S. and began living in Baltimore County. He now faces federal felony charges for re-entering the country illegally.

Centano was taken into custody along with an unidentified 21-year-old, who officials also described as an MS-13 member and Honduran national.
