One dead, one injured in shooting in Northwest D.C.

A shooting in Northwest Washington Sunday evening left one man dead and another seriously injured, police said.

D.C. police said the shooting occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m., in the 200 block of N Street NW.

One man was pronounced dead on the scene in what police have ruled a homicide. His name was not released pending notification of relatives.

The second man has been hospitalized with gunshot wounds, police said. Officials did not release information about his condition.

Police the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and no one has been arrested.
