Philadelphia man arrested in ‘08 Pr. George’s shooting

Police have arrested a 56-year-old Philadelphia man who they say shot and killed a man in 2008 after a fight at a house party near Landover, authorities said.

Ottmar Amasa Johnson is charged with first-degree murder in the April 5, 2008, shooting of 35-year-old Robert M. Reid, of Silver Spring. He was arrested earlier this month in Philadelphia and extradited back to Prince George’s County, police said.

Police said Reid was found fatally wounded just after 6 a.m. in the basement of a home in the 4700 block of 66th Place in April 2008. They said investigators believe Johnson shot Reid after the two got into a fight at a party.
