A 30-year-old foreign national visiting the District on a tourist visa has been located after being missing for nearly three weeks, D.C. police said.
In a prepared statement, police did not give details of where and when Glenda Uribe Sanchez Garcia was found.
She had been last seen Jan. 31 walking away from the D.C. Superior Courthouse at Judiciary Square shortly after she was arrested at a Starbucks at Dupont Circle. She was barefoot, wearing jeans and a brown sweater, and reportedly headed to a homeless shelter.
According to a private investigator hired by her family, Garcia was diagnosed seven years ago with a mental illness, and relatives fear she had stopped taking her medication before she disappeared. She is a dual citizen of Brazil and Spain.
