Police ID man shot in Capitol Heights

Police have identified the man shot and killed in the Capitol Heights area Tuesday as 19-year-old Darnell V. Furr Jr., authorities said Wednesday.

Furr, who lived in Fort Washington, was shot and killed just before 2 p.m. in the 5000 block of Emo Street, police said. Detectives are still working to identify suspects and determine a motive in the case, though police have said they believe Furr was targeted.
