Police identify man killed in D.C. motorcycle crash

A 45-year-old Northeast D.C. man died last week after he fell from his motorcycle and hit a car, police said.

In a press release Monday, D.C. police said Tracey Varien Avent was riding his motorcycle in the 2600 block of Naylor Rd. SE at about 5:49 p.m. on Oct. 4 when he stopped abruptly, fell and hit a car.

Avent was taken to a hospital, where he was pronoucned dead. Police say they continue to investigate the incident.
