Police investigate armed robbery, sexual assault in Southwest D.C.

Police are looking for two suspects in connection with an armed sexual assault and robbery in Southwest Washington.

On Monday, around 11 p.m., two men allegedly approached another man in the 4700 block of 1st Street SW. Police said the suspects, who had handguns, robbed the victim of his money, then forced the victim into his home.

There was a woman inside the home. One of the suspects ordered her inside a bedroom, where he sexually assaulted her, police said.

Additional money and unspecified property was stolen from the residence, then both suspects fled.

Police described the suspect who committed the sexual assault as a black man with a dark complexion, about 5’8” tall, 160 pounds, with his hair in short plaits.

The second suspect was described as a black man with a dark complexion, about 5’6” tall, with a medium build, full beard, and mustache.
