Police investigate man’s body found in Potomac River

Montgomery County police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the Potomac River Saturday.

A boater called police at 10:01 a.m. Saturday and reported a body in the water near White’s Ferry, spokesman Capt. Paul Starks said.

Authorities found no apparent signs of trauma on the body. Starks described it as belonging to a white male who was wearing blue athletic or workout pants. The body has been sent to Baltimore for an autopsy.

Police ask anyone who might have information on the man’s identity to contact the department’s major case division at 240-773-5070.
