Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who sustained fatal injuries from a car crash in Northwest D.C. Saturday.

District resident Theresa Whitley, 83, was crossing the street Saturday morning when two cars collided at the intersection of New York and New Jersey avenues NW, police said. One of the cars, an Acura, ricocheted out of the collision, crashing into Whitley, after which she was hospitalized, police said.
