Police release video of Arlington armed robbery

Arlington County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who held up an employee at a store using a knife and a gun before stealing $37,600.

Authorities released surveillance video of the crime, showing the two suspect wearing baseball caps and holding weapons.

It happened just before 9 a.m.on July 25 at a check cashing store in the 4700 block of Columbia Pike, police said.

The two armed men approached the employee from behind as she started to open up the store, police said. Holding a knife to her, they forced her to open two safes and then ran off with the cash, according to police.

The suspects are both Hispanic men who stand about five-feet, nine inches tall with medium builds, police said.
