Police have released video footage of a man they say slashed at least six young women and teenage girls at Fairfax County shopping malls since February.

The suspect, described as a heavyset Latino man in his late 20s, was caught on surveillance tape entering the Marshall’s store at Greenbriar Shopping Center, where he attacked his fifth known victim on June 20, police said.

As of Wednesday, police still have no solid leads on the man’s identity, and detectives are investigating all tips, according to Fairfax County spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell.

In each incident, the suspect distracted his victim before slashing her with a box cutter or razor, police said. The victims ranged in age from 15 to 24, and the women were attacked in the afternoon or evening, when stores were likely to be busy, police said.

On Monday, a 21-year-old woman came forward in what police said was the sixth reported attack since February. The most recent attack was reported on July 25 at the XXI Forever store in Fair Oaks Mall.
