Police seek possible robbery victim in Capitol Heights

Police investigating the September death of student Marckel Ross plan to search an area of Capitol Heights for someone they believe might have been robbed before Ross was killed but did not report it to police.

In a press release, police said they would speak with commuters and pedestrians in the area of Old Central Avenue between Rollins and Maryland Park Avenues on Monday between 6 and 8 a.m.

Ross, 18, was killed Sept. 11 as he walked to school. Detectives now believe someone might have been robbed in the same area before Ross was shot dead and hope to speak with that person.
