Police: Teens robbed, chased and fatally beat man in Prince George’s County

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a homicide in Bladensburg Saturday night, police in Prince George’s County said.

Andre Attaway, 16, and James Murray, 17, allegedly robbed, chased and beat 54-year-old David Krupski near the victim’s home in the 5200 block of Newton Street.

Police went to Newton Street about 11 p.m., after receiving reports of disorderly individuals drinking and chasing each other with a shovel. When they arrived, officers discovered Krupski’s lifeless body on the side of the road, a few hundred yards from his home. He had apparently suffered trauma to his upper body, police said.

The investigation led police to Attaway and Murray, both from Hyattsville, who allegedly provided statements admitting their involvement.

The teenagers were charged as adults with first-degree murder and robbery.

Krupski’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Anyone with information about this case can call 301-772-4925 or 1-866-411 TIPS (8477), or send a text message containing “PGPD plus the tip” to CRIMES (274637).
