Poolesville High School vandalized

Hate graffiti was written on the outside walls, windows and basketball court of Poolesville High School and Montgomery County police are investigating.

Sometime between 9 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 a.m. Monday day, a vandal or vandals spray-painted ethnic slurs and symbols such as “KKK” and a swastika, police said.

The vandal or vandals are believed to have also stolen a John Deere “Gator” utility vehicle from a locked storage building on school grounds, police said.

Police asked anyone with information to call 301-279-8000. Those wanting to remain anonymous and qualify for a reward of up to $1,000 can call 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
